The Gateway Women’s Club recently set sail for downtown Fort Myers for our latest Dining Out gathering at Izzy’s Fish & Oyster. Once again, our members turned out in grand style, with over 30 members, spouses, family, and friends coming together for an evening filled with New England–style cuisine and attentive service.
It was a time of high tides and great dinner vibes! Several guests took advantage of Izzy’s Sizzle prix-fixe menu, enjoying a three-course meal featuring a starter, entree, and dessert. The New England clam chowder was a standout favorite to start the meal. For the main course, seafood classics led the way, with popular choices including perfectly prepared salmon, delicate grouper, and crispy fish and chips. No coastal dinner is complete without a sweet send-off, and guests indulged in slices of creamy cheesecake and tangy Key Lime pie.
It was a coastal feast with the absolute best crew. Beyond the delicious food and drinks, the night was anchored by the vibrant sense of camaraderie that defines our club. The real heart of these adventures lies in the connections made around the table. Watching friends catch up and welcoming new faces reminds us of what makes the Gateway Women’s Club so special—the warm, welcoming spirit that brings us together time and time again. Adding to the festive mood, we had the special pleasure of celebrating two birthdays! The entire room came together to sing Happy Birthday to our guest honorees, bringing extra smiles and festive cheer to an already wonderful night.
It was another unforgettable night of laughter, great food, and the opportunity to make more fond memories together. A big thank you to the team at Izzy’s, and to everyone who made the evening such a success!
