The Gateway Greens community consists of over 1,400 homeowners, and generally welcomes up to 100 new residents every year. For some, the move is an easy one – they are familiar with the area, they already know some of the people, or intend to be full-time residents where the “onboarding” time is sustained and absolutely critical. For others, the unknown can be daunting! Questions around “what is an HOA and why do we have one?”, “who do I contact when I have this problem or question?” and “where is the closest urgent care facility?” are common.
A new process to welcome our new residents is now in place – a “New Resident Welcome Package” was developed to provide these residents with a handy binder that contains the information they need on a range of topics, including:
• “First Things First” – a handy list of things to do right away, including how to access our community portal and website where they can find Frequently Asked Questions, getting their transponder for easy access through the gates, and who to contact for what
• A full list and map of all of the neighborhoods within Gateway Greens
• A description of the Gateway Greens Community Development District and how that differs in terms of responsibility from the Gateway Greens Homeowners Association
• Local businesses in and around Gateway – including some discount coupons for new residents!
• And much more
All of our new residents for the past several months were sent an email to advise them of the availability of this binder, and an offer for us to hand-deliver it to them so we can meet and welcome them into our community.
