At Gateway Greens, one of the benefits of living in a gated community is the added focus on safety and security. Our access gates are staffed by Domestic Protection Services (DPS), with coverage at the Main (Gateway Blvd) Gate 24/7 and at the Rear (Westlinks) Gate during posted hours. DPS also patrols the neighborhood overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. In addition, the Community Association has a full-time Access Control Director who manages access control, the online ISN entry system, and Traffic Hawk speed monitoring which has significantly decreased speeding within our community – providing for safer roads. These efforts support a secure, well-managed community for homeowners.
Homeowners also play an important role in keeping the community safe. Here are a few simple ways you can help:
- Get to know your neighbors as it helps build a strong sense of community; have appropriate contract information for your neighbors, especially those neighbors who may be away for extended periods
- Maintain well-kept surroundings
- Ensure your home is well secured (exterior lighting/cameras, secure exterior doors, closed garage doors, etc.)
- Observe community traffic regulations such as speed limits, STOP signs (complete STOP vs. rolling STOP), entry/exit gate protocols (such as one vehicle at a time)
- Remind your visitors and vendors of the community’s desire to adhere to posted speed limits
- Become familiar and utilize the on-line ISN application for your visitors and vendors
- Stay informed about community and CDD activities and events, community infrastructure and landscaping projects and rules and regulations by reading Alliant’s Quick Notes emails, attending HOA Board meeting and checking out the Gateway Greens website portal at http://www.gatewaygreens.com
